Oil Pipelines (API)

Use
  • Steel pipe used as the piping for water, gas and oil transport in the petroleum
    and natural gas industries
  • The pipeline system for transport composed of the oil pipelines is normally classified
    into the part flowing with mined fluid (oil well-treatment facility)
    and the part flowing with fluid removed of moisture, hydrogen sulfide and
    carbon dioxide (treatment facility-consumption site).
  • For the oil well contained with large amount of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide,
    or the oil pipeline used in high-temperature environment,
    steel with outstanding corrosion resistance along with strength properties is used.

Carbon Steel Pipe for General Piping
(KS D 3507 / JIS G 3452)

Use
  • This steel pipe is mostly used for piping of stem, water, oil, gas and
    air with relatively low working pressure, and there are white and black pipes.
  • Generally, the carbon steel pipe is used on the working pressure of
    1.0MPa{10kgf/cm2} or less.
  • The white pipe is applied with zinc galvanizing internally and externally
    to prevent corrosion(Zinc adhesion amount: 400g/m2 or more), and is mostly
    used as piping for water transport.
    The black pipe is not coated, and is mostly used for steam and gas piping.

Carbon Steel Pipe for Pressure Piping
(KS D 3562 / JIS G 3454)

Use
  • Steel pipe used for the pressure piping of about 350℃ in temperature
  • Generally,it is used for hydraulic pipe, boiler steam pipe,
    water piping forhigh-rise building and piping for firefighting applied
    with working pressure up to 1.0~9.8MPa{10~100kgf/cm2}.
  • The pipe must have durability and no leakage when applied with hydraulic
    test pressure

Carbon Steel Pipe for General Structure
(KS D 3566 / JIS G 3444)

Use
  • Steel pipe of 40mm or less in thickness and not processed with heat treatment.
    This product is used on other structures such as civil engineering, architecture,
    steel tower, scaffold, pile, handrail, fence and column
    which do not emphasize on weldability.
  • It is not high-strength steel with very high tensile strength,
    and the difficulty of welding and processing is low, so the product is frequently
    used for the frame of general structures.

Carbon Steel Pipe for Mechanical Structure
(KS D 3517 / JIS G 3445)

Use
  • Steel pipe used on mechanical parts such as the machine,automobile, bicycle,
    furniture and instrument.
  • Processed with heat treatment and hardening, it is the steel pipe used as the material
    for the parts requiring mechanical strength, such as various gears, axes, chains,
    rollers, molds and pins.

Thick Wall Steel Pipes

Use
  • General steel pipesare 20mm or less in thickness,while thick wall steelpipesare
    20~140mminthickness (Thickness=P(Pressure)*R(Radius)/S(Material Strength)).
    The thick plates of 6mm or more in thickness are mostly used to manufacture
    the thick wall steel pipes.
  • This steel pipe has high internal pressure and aperture, and is mostly
    used for off-shore plant structures, oil pipeline, heat pipe materials for power plants,
    equipment for seismic construction, industrial equipment, LNG pipe, etc.
  • The Company manufactures small-caliber thick pipes of 20mm or less in thickness
    that are mostly used as the material for parts on pump car, heavy equipment
    and automobiles according to the ERW manufacturing method.
